1. Go on Start, and click on Control Panel.

2. Double click on the Network Connection icon.( If the control panel looks different just check on the left column and click on Switch to classic view)
On Windows 2000 this should be Network and Dial UP connections.

3. Make sure that the Local Area Connection is enabled, if not right click on Local Area Connection and click on Enabled.

Now, double click on Internet Protocols TCP/IP.

4. Mark Use the following IP address and fill in as follows:
IP: 10.0.0.1
Subnet: 255.0.0.0
Gateway: 10.0.0.138
OPTIONAL : Preferred DNS : 194.105.32.3
Alternate DNS : 194.105.32.12

Click OK to save settings.
