1. Go on Start and click Control Panel.( If the control panel looks different just check on the left coloum and click on Switch to classic view.)

2. Click on Network Connections, right click on Local Area Connection / Alcatel Speedtouch RFC1483 and click on Properties.

3. Highlight TCP/IP Internet Protocol and click Properties.

4. For IP address fill in: 10.0.0.1  and for the Subnet Musk fill in 255.0.0.0 and click OK.

[OPTIONAL] For DNS fill in the 194.105.32.3 for the preffered DNS and 194.105.32.12 for the Alternate DNS.

5. FOR TESTING PURPOSES.

Go on Start, Run, type command and press Enter key on keyboard. Type ping 10.0.0.138 and if the following corresponds with your results, then the modem is functioning correctly.
